Many kids dream of becoming police officers, but 9-year-old Brady Snakovsky from Strongsville, Ohio, is already on a mission to protect them. Inspired by a police show where he noticed a K-9 officer without a bulletproof vest, Brady wanted to make a difference for these brave dogs.

Brady approached his mother with the idea of buying a vest for a K-9 in need. Upon discovering that the vests are quite expensive, Brady and his mother, Leah Tornabene, decided to take things a step further. They launched Brady’s K9 Fund, a nonprofit organization, along with a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the cause.

So far, Brady’s efforts have been an incredible success. His campaign has raised close to $80,000, allowing them to donate 79 vests to police K-9 units across the country. Each vest serves as a life-saving piece of equipment, and Brady’s initiative has received heartfelt thanks from several police departments, including the Mendon Police Division. In a Twitter post, the department expressed their gratitude: “K9 Officer Pichel and K9 Brady would like to thank a very special boy, Brady Snakovsky, for donating a LOF Defence Road Fighter Vest to the Mendon Police Division K9 Unit. #BradysK9Fund”

Brady’s mission to ensure every K-9 has a vest has captured the hearts of many supporters who continue to contribute to his cause. Through Brady’s K9 Fund, he’s shown how one determined child with a big heart can make a meaningful impact in the world.
